For online shops
Is your shop tracking visitors before they agree?
Shops use more marketing tags than most sites: analytics, ad pixels, product feeds, reviews. Each one is a chance for a cookie to load before consent. Scan your shop and see exactly which ones do.
Works with WooCommerce, PrestaShop, OpenCart, Shopify, Magento and custom shops. No plugin to install.
What we usually find on shops
The banner is there, but the tags ignore it
A cookie banner plugin is installed, but Google Analytics, the Meta Pixel or a remarketing tag was added through the theme or another plugin and loads before anyone clicks.
Only an “Accept” button
The banner offers “OK” or “Accept all”, and rejecting means digging through settings. Refusing has to be as easy as accepting.
Newsletter and contact forms without consent
A newsletter sign-up in the footer or a contact form collects an email address with no consent checkbox.
Old JavaScript bundled with the theme
Themes and modules often ship their own copy of jQuery or a slider library that hasn’t been updated in years, and has known vulnerabilities.
Missing security headers
The default hosting setup sends none of HSTS, Content-Security-Policy or X-Frame-Options. They are easy to add once you know which ones are missing.
Where it usually comes from
Tracking usually comes from a theme’s analytics setting, a marketing or feed plugin, or code pasted into the header. The fix is to route it through your consent plugin.
Analytics and pixel modules often load on every page by default. Check which modules add tracking and whether they wait for consent.
Tracking often sits in extensions or in code added to the theme header template, outside any consent logic.
Fixed it? A plugin update can bring the problem back. With a plan, we re-scan your shop automatically and email you when something changes. See pricing or an example report.
