1.Who we are

2.What the service does

SecurityScan loads a website in a headless browser and inspects it for a defined set of technical signals: cookies set before consent, the presence and behaviour of a consent banner, whether a privacy policy is reachable, TLS certificate validity, HTTP security headers, and JavaScript libraries with known vulnerabilities. It scores those findings and produces a report.

The service is a technical diagnostic tool. It is not a legal audit, it does not certify GDPR compliance, and a high score is not a defence against enforcement. Findings are generated automatically and can produce both false positives and false negatives. You remain responsible for your own compliance, and you should take qualified legal advice before relying on any report for a legal purpose.

3.Your account

You must give accurate registration details and keep your password confidential. You are responsible for everything done through your account. Tell us promptly at the contact address above if you believe it has been compromised.

The service is intended for businesses and professionals. You must be at least 18 years old to open an account.

4.Authorisation to scan — your responsibility

This is the most important obligation in these terms. You may submit a domain for scanning only if:

• you own it, or
• you operate it, or
• the owner has authorised you in a way you can evidence to us on request.

Scanning a website you have no right to scan may be unlawful in your jurisdiction. By submitting a domain you warrant that you hold the necessary authorisation, and you agree to indemnify us against any claim, loss, or penalty arising from a scan you were not entitled to request.

Our scanner identifies itself in its user agent, requests pages at a modest rate, and does not attempt to bypass authentication, exploit vulnerabilities, or alter anything on the target site. It is a read-only observer.

We may refuse or stop any scan at our discretion, and we block scans of private network ranges, localhost, and cloud metadata endpoints.

5.Plans and limits

Each plan sets how many sites you may register, how many pages a single scan may crawl, and how often scheduled scans run.

All prices below include VAT at the applicable Latvian rate. The price you see is the price you pay — nothing is added at checkout. Your invoice shows the net amount and the VAT separately.

6.Payment, renewal and cancellation

Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance in euro, through Stripe. They renew automatically until cancelled.

You can cancel at any time from the billing page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for; the service continues until then. We do not give partial refunds for unused time in a period that has started.

If a payment fails we may retry it and suspend the service until it succeeds. If you downgrade, sites above your new limit are deactivated and stop being scanned — we do not delete their historical reports.

We will give you at least 30 days’ notice by email before any price change. If you do not accept it, you may cancel before it takes effect.

7.Right of withdrawal (consumers)

If you are a consumer in the EU, you have 14 days to withdraw from the contract without giving a reason. If you ask us to begin the service within that period, you acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed, and that if you withdraw part-way you owe a proportionate amount for what was already delivered.

8.Acceptable use

You must not:

• submit domains you are not authorised to scan;
• use the service to probe, stress, or attack any system;
• circumvent plan limits or rate limits, including by opening multiple accounts;
• resell, sublicense, or make the service available to third parties, except through the white-label reporting included in the Agency plan;
• copy, decompile, or reverse-engineer the service, or use automated means to extract data from it beyond the features we provide;
• use the service unlawfully or in a way that harms us or other users.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches this section, and we will tell you why unless the law prevents us.

9.White-label reports

The Agency plan lets you apply your own logo, company name, colour, and footer text to generated PDF reports. You warrant that you hold the rights to the branding you upload, and you remain responsible for the reports you pass on to your own clients — including the disclaimer that they do not constitute legal advice.

10.Availability

We aim to keep the service available and scans running on schedule, but we do not offer a guaranteed uptime level. Maintenance, provider failures, and problems on the target website can all delay or prevent a scan. A missed scheduled scan does not on its own entitle you to a refund.

11.Intellectual property

We own the service, its scanning logic, its scoring model, and its interfaces. Nothing here transfers that ownership to you.

You own your data — your account details, the domains you add, and the findings produced for you. We hold only the licence needed to operate the service, generate your reports, and keep backups. You may use the reports we generate for your own purposes, including sharing them with your clients.

12.Warranties and liability

The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties, including that scan results will be complete, accurate, or fit for any particular purpose.

We are not liable for lost profit, lost revenue, lost data, regulatory fines, or any indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability arising out of or in connection with these terms is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded — including a consumer’s statutory rights, which are unaffected.

13.Termination

You may close your account at any time from the profile settings page; doing so deletes your data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may terminate or suspend your account on notice if you materially breach these terms, if we are legally required to, or if we discontinue the service — in which case we will refund the unused part of any period you have paid for.

14.Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For material changes we will email account holders at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the new version; if you do not, you may cancel.

15.Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of Latvia, and disputes fall to the courts of Latvia. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in your own courts.
